Reality Meets Jurassic Park

For those of you worried that a genetically reconstructed Tyrannosaurus Rex with a ravenous appetite could be unleashed in an American city you can rest a little more easy.  The experts at What If? have calculated how many humans a day a T Rex would need to consume to survive if it was let loose in New York City and it turns out it only needs to eat one adult every two days so your odds of survival are pretty good!  In the alternative the T Rex could survive on a daily regimen of 80 McDonalds hamburgers.  You can double check their calculations here to reassure yourselves.
(from What If?)

So, one less thing for you to worry about.  Now, what are they doing to make sure a random asteroid doesn't crash into Earth and end all human life, particularly if Bruce Willis is not available?
