THC didn't like Blurred Lines, the Robin Thicke hit, composed by Thicke and Pharrell Williams but is a little puzzled by the jury verdict finding it constituted copyright infringement of the 1977 Marvin Gaye song Got To Give It Up (another tune THC didn't care for) and awarding several million dollars to Gaye's estate. THC's puzzlement is that while there are some similarities between the songs, the same can be said of most of pop music - nothing new about this flap, which is easily distinguished from the clear theft of a song (see the real story of Dazed And Confused for the difference).
