Stuart Humphreys (aka Babel Colour) enhances old color photos. This is not colorising. These were color photos when taken, often more than 100 years ago.
The first is along the Dordogne River and an area we drove through this past June.
Tonight I have enhanced for you a truly stunning autochrome by Jules Gervais-Courtellemont, taken on the Bank of the Dordogne, near Beaulieu, in France, 97 years ago. It is a magnificent photograph of an artist at work and original colour (not colourised). pic.twitter.com/lDgvKZimbr

And this, from Jordan in 1918:
Not a Versace photoshoot, this is 102 years ago - on Saturday 3rd March 1918. The Great War rages & photographer Paul Castlenau travelled to what became Jordan to take this autochrome of Fayz Bey el Azm (companion of Emir Fayçal) which I've Babelised for you. It is not colourised pic.twitter.com/MxAR5LDQOx
