A live TV performance by Aretha Franklin in 1970. This lady is in full command. Full command vocally, on piano, and as a performer. She's a powerhouse. The song was written by Ahmet Ertegun and Betty Nelson and originally recorded by Ben E King in 1962. Ahmet was a famous record executive who discovered Ray Charles and years later signed the fledgling acts Led Zeppelin and Crosby, Stills, and Nash. He was the founder of Atlantic Records and the first chairman of the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame. Betty was the wife of Ben E King.
