Singalong Sinatra

Night And Day Sinatra singing, Nelson Riddle arranging.  Composed by Cole Porter.  A formidable trio.  Originally written for a Broadway show starring Fred Astaire who made the song a standard in the movie version, The Gay Divorcee (1934).

There were contemporaries of Frank Sinatra who had better voices but none were better singers.  Sinatra's phrasing, intonation and phenomenal breath control left him towering above the others.  To better understand his technique try singing along to this version of Night And Day using the same phrasing and only taking breathes when he does. If you'd like to listen to some more Sinatra here's my favorite, Angel Eyes.
