From The Met
The Metropolitan Museum of Art recently place online 400,000 high resolution digital images of objects from its collections. The quality of the images is remarkably good. Below is "The Beeches", an 1845 painting by Asher Brown Durand of the Hudson River School. Image from Twisted Sifter. You can view the Met's online collection here.
